This is a beautiful property, all around. I've stayed here a couple of times before, and was happy to read a recent email from reader George alerting me that it's back for the BRG. This hotel is just minutes from Orlando International, served by a frequent (and free!) shuttle. Wingate by Wyndhams are, in my opinion, the best chain in the Wyndham family (yes, even including Wyndham Hotels and Resorts!). Wingates operate on an "all-inclusive" basis, featuring more free amenities than you can shake a stick at, including but not limited to: free internet, free hot breakfast (think eggs and sausage), free long distance calling, and most feature swimming pools (like this one does).

No. But it makes a good location for anyone coming north from the USA to base themselves before heading further into the city. This hotel is roughly a 25 minutes drive to downtown at the very southern edge of the city. The US Border is two hours south of here. One good feature about this property is that it is located right on the LRT line near Shawnessy station - it's around a 30 minute ride into downtown using it, for $2.50.

Nearby the property are the Downtown Glendale golf courses, Luke Air Force Base, restaurants, and much more.

This BRG is no stranger to the blog, having appeared several times before. It refuses to die. I've stayed here myself a couple of times, and found it to be as good as any Wingate property - excellent. It would be hard to be disappointed here. The hotel is located in a busy shopping area just a few miles east of Interstate 64. It's technically in Virginia Beach, but don't let that mislead you - this property is around 20 miles from downtown and the beach. It's much more suited to be thought of as a Norfolk hotel than a Virginia Beach hotel. The Norfolk Airport is just 4 miles away, served by fast and free airport shuttle.
