Many competing websites have the lower rates, some of which are the "Quicksaver" non-refundable type. However, it appears the WR website has normal rates which are higher.

It was point out to me by reader, James,  has the same lower rate, but without a non-refundable component to it. Therefore, this site is your best bet and you'll want to use it for your claim.
This property offers a free continental breakfast, has satellite TV, and shuttle service to the airport. (fee) There are many restaurants within close proximity.

I tested this hotel for several different nights in July, weekday and weekends, and found it lower on our main 3 competing sites each time. My guess is that it may be available for most dates in the upcoming weeks.

This property has a hot breakfast buffet in their atrium, an indoor pool and hot tub, 24-hour convenience store, and is in the heart of downtown.

I found this property on a local Southern California website that you should find very easy to navigate. This hotel is in the suburbs of San Diego and 8 miles from the Mexican border. The location is 1 mile from the naval base, 3 miles to Coronado, and 5 miles to the San Diego Zoo. Free breakfast included, pool, and free high speed internet.

Would you pay $600 to stay at a Super 8 Motel?

This property I found through Kayak as well as a reader, "2mg", who submitted this same find to the other Dave awhile back. We have to assume this is a "Super 8" since it is found on the WR website. However, when on Kayak and you click Hotels.com where the lower rate is, it states this property as a "Vagabond" motel. My guess is that is was recently converted to a Super 8.
