Here's an "airport hotel" (actually 9 miles away) that is just 30 minutes to Manhattan. I know this property well, having stayed here in the past. The manager DOES NOT like the BRG. He tried to negotiate "taxes" on the spot, telling me that $25.00 is "flat tax for free stay" according to "New Jersey Hotel Owners Law". After a bit of a run around, I eventually talked him/scared him out of collecting it. But, beware of being haggled here. The hotel itself is somewhat dingy, but comfortable enough. I wasn't sad to leave, though.

 Earlier this month I had a BRG here (one of many) and very much enjoyed it. I always walked away never having to pay a dime, which is why I go back! This Ramada has recently put in new beds and flat screen TVs.

Disneyland is up the street less than a mile. (although having a car would be a good idea!) The Anaheim Convention Center is within walking distance. Many restaurants are a short walk away as well, including Denny's, Baker's Square, and Taco Bell. (all across the street)

The only downside is that it doesn't seem to offer a complimentary airport shuttle, so you might have to hire a taxi for the 2 mile drive to the property. What the hotel does offer is a complimentary continental breakfast, free wifi, and a seasonal outdoor pool.

The hotel is listed as the "Country Hearth Inn" on both Orbitz and Cheaptickets, but it's a Knights Inn property (according to the Wyndham website). The addresses match up 100%, so don't worry - your claims will be approved.

Here's a property that I've personally stayed at, and found it to be much nicer than the Tripadvisor reviews would have me believe. The reviews state countless horror stories, so they hotel has either cleaned up its act, or I was lucky. In any case, have an open mind and give it a shot. The hotel is located near the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, connected to it and the surrounding casinos by free shuttle.
